About

The Walsh Medical Practice has a long history of providing General Practice care to the people of New Ross and the surrounding area for over 100 years. Our aim is to provide high quality, dignified, evidence based, emphatic, patient-centered care for our community. We want to engage and empower you to achieve the very best health outcomes for you.

 

 

We have a dedicated and dynamic team of six Doctors, three Nurses, one General Practice Assistant, a Practice Manager & Administrative Staff. 

 

Our Practice is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. We have designated Blue Badge parking spaces within our courtyard. The remaining courtyard parking is free but limited. Pay parking is available in the public car park across the road from the Practice. Bicycle parking is also available in the public car park. 

 

We offer a wide variety of medical services to medical card and private patients, including antenatal and postnatal care, women’s health, minor surgery, children’s health, childhood vaccinations, men’s health, contraceptive care, mental health care, cervical smear taking, regular check ups, adult vaccinations, older person care and cryotherapy. We also provide clinics for the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, asthma, COPD, & coronary vascular diseases. Please see our website for full services available. Consultations are by appointment only. Please call our Administrative Team to book your next appointment. Appointments made online via our website will be available in the near future.
 
In order to manage, our Team may ask the nature of your appointment request. Patient confidentiality is paramount and you can access our privacy policy here
 
We are not an emergency service and our phone lines are often busy. If you are waiting on the phone to speak to a member of our Administrative Team regarding an emergency, this could cause a delay to your management. Therefore we advise to please ring 999 or 112 for an ambulance without delay. Such as: a suspected stroke, new chest pain.
 
For requests such as repeat prescriptions, illness certificates, please see our online services.
 
Clinical queries should not be submitted by email, text or any forms on this website as they may not be addressed in a timely manner.
