Surgery Appointments

To make our service more efficient we encourage all of our patients to make an appointment with a doctor or nurse.  Our appointment system aims to provide enhanced patient convenience, with reduced waiting times and higher quality consultations. The nature of our work means patients may not be seen exactly at appointment time, but we always endeavour to do so. Delays are usually due to a patient requiring extra time, or an emergency, so please try to be considerate.

Booking Your Appointment

We always endeavour to let you book an appointment with the doctor of your choice at a time that suits you best. This is obviously not always possible, but we will give you a choice of options. We are constantly reviewing the appointment system to offer a range of availability. While it is not necessary to mention the entire details of your consultation to the  receptionist, it is helpful to provide brief details to enable them facilitate you with the most appropriate appointment. Our routine appointment length is fifteen minutes, however, you can request a longer consultation if you have a more complex issue or number of issues. Be aware, however, that there may be an extra charge for extended consultations.
  • Priority will be given to patients with urgent medical problems, children, elderly and those patients who are more vulnerable.
To Book an Appointment please either Phone us @ 051 421250; or attend the surgery’s reception in person.

Cancelling Your Appointment

If you have booked an appointment it is very important to let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel it. (Preferably at least 24 hours in advance)

Cancel an Appointment please either Phone us on 051 421250; or inform the reception staff in person.

Why is it important to tell us you want to cancel your appointment? When patients fail to cancel their appointment this wastes a lot of valuable Doctor and Nursing time. By telling us in good time that you cannot keep an appointment, we can offer your appointment to someone else. This helps us to reduce waiting times and means everyone can be seen sooner.
